Choose Cohoes Holiday Craft Fair
Last Saturday there was a holiday market at 130 Remsen St in Cohoes. I helped organize it - there were 14 vendors including yours truly, displaying a wide range of hand made goods - gluten free baked goods, ceramics a variety of jewelry, and of course beautiful silk scarves. Santa stopped by and I was interviewed for the Troy Record. We will be doing it again next Saturday December 3rd from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Come by and support your local crafter!

A Family Reunion
Visited with my cousins down in Maryland over the weekend. It was a time for looking towards the future and the past. It seems I was a catalyst to inspire the the gathering of the younger generation and it was great to reconnect with family! (However these pictures convinced me to go back on WeightWatchers ;-)
On Saturday we had a family gathering with lots of children and grandchildren at Susan's house:
On Sunday we visited with Laurel and went through our maternal grandmother Dornback's photo album (ca 1900 - 1950). It was poignant to look back on the hard times our family went through and joyful to see the energy of the newest generation.

Scarves in the maple tree
My friend Karin had an evening gathering for our knitting circle at her home to offer up some of her hand dyed yarn and kindly let me bring some of my scarves to show. Here they are hung in the branches of the Japanese maple on a soft summer evening:

Mitered Cross Blanket
I finished my Mitered Crosses blanket! It ended up being 45" x 45". I especially like the way the colors in the I-cord edge dance with the colors in the crosses.

Summer Knitting
Was inspired to knit the I Crocodile hat from the latest edition of Knitty.com. The colors remind me of the fabulous Tiffany windows found in the churches of Troy.
More inspiration from the deck garden - the tiny, delicate flowers of sedum:
I collect sedum because I love the texture and colors of their foliage, these amazing tiny flowers are a delightful bonus

Hello World
I've been busy creating silk scarves and wanted a way to show them off. This is the first one, started back in March:
I've done a bunch more since then!
